Sound Advice Audio Specialties was founded on a simple belief: that everyone deserves a system that sounds and looks extraordinary — and is simple enough to actually enjoy every day. We started in Salisbury, MD, and we've never left.
Over more than two decades, we've designed and installed hundreds of custom systems across the Eastern Shore, Annapolis and Baltimore, from aesthetically pleasing outdoor speaker systems around the pool to full smart home integrations, from living room theaters to commercial conference suites and EOC Training Facilities.
What sets us apart isn't just our technical expertise — it's the way we work. We listen carefully, design thoughtfully, and install with pride. Every system we build is one we'd be happy to have in our own home.

Founded in Salisbury
Sound Advice Audio Specialties opens its doors in Salisbury, MD, focused on delivering premium custom A/V to local homeowners who want more than a big-box store can offer.
Expanding to Smart Home
As home automation technology matures, we expand our expertise to include lighting control, motorized shading, and whole-home integration — becoming a full-service integrator.
Commercial Growth
Growing demand from local businesses leads us to develop a dedicated commercial A/V division, serving conference rooms, restaurants, retail spaces, and houses of worship across the Shore.

Jeff and Joan Wharton started the company in 2000 with the dream to provide audio/visual excellence to clients within their own homes at a budget that they could afford. Their goal was to make client's systems high performance, yet simple to use. Through the years the company expanded into design and integration of conference rooms, EOC training facilities and churches.
